Detectives from the Robbery & Serious Crime Squad are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a jewellery store on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.

The event took place at approximately 3:30 PM on Thursday, 28 March 2024, involving two individuals who threatened employees with a firearm before leaving with stolen items. They were last seen escaping in a silver Holden Commodore, registered in Victoria.

    Incident Details

The robbery unfolded at a store located on Birdwood Lane in Lane Cove. Reports indicate that two individuals clad in dark attire and masks, one armed, entered the store and threatened the staff. They then departed in a vehicle, which was reportedly operated by a third individual. This vehicle was observed in tandem with a silver Mercedes.

    Suspect Descriptions and Information Appeal

Descriptions of the two individuals have been released in an effort to assist with their identification. The first is described as having an olive complexion, medium build, and grey hair, last seen wearing a grey T-shirt, white shorts, and white sneakers, with a white jumper draped around his neck. The second individual is described as having a Caucasian appearance, medium to solid build, with a long blonde mullet, last seen wearing a grey hooded jumper, yellow shorts, black sneakers, and a red baseball cap.

The investigation, now led by the Robbery & Serious Crime Squad under Strike Force Larama, has prompted an appeal for information. The public is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000 or via their online platform with any relevant information regarding the identity of the suspects or vehicle movements at the time of the robbery.
