The London Diamond Bourse (LDB) has launched the Diamond Manufacturing Course, a new educational offering, following the positive reception of its Practical Diamond Knowledge (PDK) course introduced in 2022.

This initiative responds to the industry’s increasing need for specialized education in rough diamond manufacturing.

    Enhancing Understanding of Diamond Manufacturing

The one-day Diamond Manufacturing Course aims to provide detailed insights into the process of transforming rough diamonds into polished gems. The program covers a broad range of essential topics to understand the entire diamond manufacturing process comprehensively.

Led by Craig Sievewright, a professional with significant experience in diamond manufacturing, the course is designed to impart both theoretical knowledge and practical skills relevant to the industry.

Offering Specialized Knowledge Through Expert Instruction

David Troostwyk, President of the LDB, shared the rationale behind introducing the course, pointing to the high demand for specialized knowledge in rough diamond processing. “The launch of the Diamond Manufacturing Course comes as a direct response to the demand for more comprehensive education in rough diamond manufacturing,” said Troostwyk.

He emphasized the course’s objective to provide participants with the necessary skills and confidence to advance in the diamond manufacturing sector.

    A Comprehensive Learning Experience

This new course from the London Diamond Bourse reflects the industry’s commitment to continuous education and the professional growth of those in the diamond sector, aiming to equip them with the skills needed for success in a dynamic market environment.

The course welcomes participants at all career stages, offering an opportunity to deepen their understanding and skills in a focused educational setting. The program’s practical approach and guidance from experienced professionals aim to open new avenues for career progression within the diamond industry.

The Diamond Manufacturing Course is now accepting registrations, with the first sessions scheduled for March 2024. Interested parties are advised to register early due to expected high interest.
