Nashwa Ahmed, owner of Blackbox Jewellers, is offering a six-carat diamond ring valued at AUD $30,000 to the buyer of her luxury home in Canning Vale, Perth. This incentive comes at a time when the property market remains competitive, making it an unusual addition to the sale.
Ahmed’s Blackbox Jewellers operates five stores across Australia, with a notable clientele including sports stars such as rugby players, AFL athletes, and UFC fighter Israel Adesanya, who recently made a purchase. The six-carat ring comes from her jewellery chain, including it as part of the property sale.
A Gesture of Gratitude to Perth
Speaking about the decision, Ahmed described it as a way to give back to the Perth community, which has played a pivotal role in her business success. “It’s a way to spread good fortune,” she said, highlighting her appreciation for the city, which she credits for welcoming her. Though not originally from Perth, Ahmed expressed her gratitude for the support she has received, noting that she feels “adopted” by the city.
Real estate agent Christy Sajan from Stratton Real Estate noted that such an offer is unusual, especially in the current seller’s market, where incentives are typically not necessary. “This is a goodwill gesture to the buyers,” Sajan explained, adding that the intent was to give the new homeowners a memorable story along with their purchase.
The property is expected to sell in the early AUD $1 million range, which aligns with similar homes in Canning Vale. The six-carat ring introduces a unique aspect to the sale, with Sajan explaining that, “To my knowledge, this type of offer has never been done before.”
