Australian Jewellers Supplies (AJS) has announced a nationwide roadshow in partnership with Swiss solder paste manufacturer Hilderbrand SA. The event, set to take place across five cities in late February and early March 2025, will introduce jewellers to Hilderbrand’s range of solder pastes and provide direct engagement with the manufacturer.
Showcasing Hilderbrand’s Solder Paste Solutions
Hilderbrand SA has been producing solder pastes for over 50 years, supplying industries including jewellery and watchmaking worldwide. The roadshow will feature demonstrations of soldering techniques, highlighting the characteristics of solder paste, including:
- Integrated flux, eliminating the need for additional flux application
- Precise placement for improved accuracy
- Controlled application via syringe to minimise wastage
- Availability in various precious metals and temperature ranges
- Easy storage and identification
The event will provide information on solder paste applications relevant to jewellery manufacturing and repair.
Technical Insights from Thierry Copponnex
Thierry Copponnex from Hilderbrand SA will provide technical insights on soldering techniques and industry developments during the roadshow.
Event Schedule and Locations
The roadshow will take place at AJS branches across Australia:
- 27 February – Brisbane
- 28 February – Sydney
- 3 March – Melbourne
- 4 March – Adelaide (12pm–4pm session)
- 6 March – Perth
Each session will run from 10am to 2pm, except for the Adelaide event, which will take place from 12pm to 4pm. Attendance is limited, and jewellers interested in participating are encouraged to register in advance.
