Bevilles offers a variety of payment and financing options for customers they purchase jewellery.
Recognising the need for flexibility in payment methods, the retailer aims to accommodate a wide range of budgets and preferences.
You can see Bevilles’s page about financing options here, or we’ll also provide a plain-English summary in this article.
Bevilles Finance Options
Bevilles offers various finance options that allow you to spread the cost of your jewellery purchases over time, making it easier to manage large expenses. These options include both buy now, pay later services and interest-free credit plans, so it’s important to understand the terms and any potential fees before choosing the one that’s right for you.
Payright
With Payright, you can take your purchase home right away and then repay the balance over time with regular instalments. One of the key advantages of Payright is that it’s always interest-free, although some fees may apply depending on the specific plan you choose. It’s a simple and straightforward option for those who prefer a clear repayment structure without the concern of accumulating interest.
Humm Big Things
If you’re planning a larger purchase, Humm Big Things allows you to borrow up to $30,000 and repay it over a period of up to 72 months. Like Payright, Humm Big Things is an interest-free option. However, it does come with a monthly account fee of $8, and depending on the plan, there may be an establishment fee. You can apply for pre-approval through the Humm app, which gives you an idea of how much you can borrow before you even start shopping. This can be particularly helpful for big-ticket items like engagement rings or custom jewellery pieces.
Keep in mind that Humm is only available to Australian residents who are at least 18 years old, work a minimum of 20 hours per week, and meet the credit approval criteria.
Latitude Interest-Free
Latitude is another popular interest-free option at Bevilles, which is available if you use a Latitude Gem Visa or GO Mastercard. This service provides flexible payment terms on purchases over $1,000, with interest-free periods ranging from 6 to 60 months, depending on the promotion. After this period ends, any remaining balance will be charged at a high interest rate of 29.99% per year.
Latitude cards come with a monthly account service fee of $10.95, so it’s important to factor this into your budget. Additionally, if you’re only making the minimum monthly payments, you might not clear the balance by the end of the interest-free period, which could result in high interest charges.
Bevilles Payment Options
In addition to financing plans, Bevilles offers several ways to pay for your jewellery purchases, giving you flexibility whether you’re shopping online or in-store.
Buy Now, Pay Later
Bevilles partners with Zip and Afterpay for buy now, pay later options, allowing you to spread the cost of your purchase without paying upfront.
With Zip Money, you can apply for a credit limit between $1,000 and $6,000 and enjoy 3 to 36 months of interest-free payments. There is a monthly account fee of $9.95, which is waived if your balance is zero. However, if you don’t pay off the purchase within the interest-free period, a high interest rate of 25.9% per annum will apply. There may also be a one-time establishment fee of up to $99 for new customers, so it’s worth keeping that in mind when planning your payments.
Afterpay is another option for purchases up to $3,000. It splits your total purchase into four equal payments spread over eight weeks. For first-time users, the initial payment is required at checkout, while for returning customers with purchases under $500, the first payment is deducted two weeks after the order. Orders over $500 always require an upfront payment. While Afterpay does not charge interest, late payments incur a $10 fee, with an additional $7 added if the payment is still outstanding after seven days.
Credit Cards and PayPal
Bevilles accepts both VISA and Mastercard, whether you’re shopping in-store or online. For online purchases, you can also pay via PayPal, which offers a fast and secure checkout option. PayPal transactions are processed instantly, and the system keeps your financial details private from the retailer. This might be a convenient option if you’re looking for extra security or a quick, easy way to pay.
In-Store Payment Methods
When shopping in-store at Bevilles, you can pay using cash, credit cards, or Bevilles gift cards. Lay-by is also available for those who prefer to reserve an item and pay it off gradually before taking it home. If you’re using a financing option like Zip, Afterpay, Humm, or Latitude, these can also be applied to in-store purchases, offering even more flexibility for managing larger payments.
Other Things You Should Know About Bevilles Financing Options
Before deciding on a financing plan, it’s helpful to be aware of some additional details.
First, all financing options require credit approval, meaning that your credit history will be assessed when you apply. This could affect the terms you’re offered or the credit limit you receive. Most approvals are quick, especially if you apply online or in-store with the necessary documentation on hand.
For online purchases, Bevilles will provide tracking information once your payment is confirmed, allowing you to monitor your order’s progress. This is especially useful if you’re purchasing high-value items and want to know when to expect delivery.
Bevilles also takes extra security steps for large transactions, particularly for first-time online customers or orders above $300. If this applies to your order, Bevilles may require you to verify your details before the purchase is processed. This is a precaution to help protect you from fraudulent transactions.
Lastly, it’s important to note that all payments are processed in Australian Dollars (AUD). If you’re shopping from overseas, your bank may charge currency conversion fees, depending on its policy.
Understanding these terms and fees upfront helps ensure you choose the payment or financing option that works best for your situation, without encountering unexpected costs or delays.
